COURSE TITLE: WORKSHOP TECHNOLOGY I
As far as the electronic workshop is concerned student are supposed to master the following skills.
The use of the tools of the trade eg. Pliers, wire cutters, screw drivers, adjustable wrench.
- The use of soldering equipment, soldering gun and soldering pencils.
- Metal working tools eg:Try square, Combination square, awls, scriber & center puncher hand shear.
- Familiarity with electronic diagram and symbols.
- Chassis Metal Work eg Sheetmetal Squaring shear, Metal punch, the drill press.
- Hardware like connectors, machine screw and nuts, sheet metal screw.
- Electronic components passive and active.
- Techniques of hand wiring.
- Soldering and desoldering.
- PCB fabrication and design.
- Solar Electricity system design.
- Electronic measurement & test
- Reading meter scale.
- Ohmmeter
- Voltmeter
- Milliameter.
- Oscilloscope.
- Radio & TV technician training.
Apart from those practical skills that can allow a trainee to carry out repair and maintance work, we offer also lab experimental exercise that confirm the theory in the following subject:
