From 1983-1989 Mr Andrew M. Mpamo, joined the Tanganyika
Christian Refugee Service - TCRS (a department of the Lutheran
World Service) as a branch accountant in Mishamo, Burigi and
Ulyankuru refugee Settlements. Mishamo and Ulyankuru were
camps for refugees from Burundi, while the Burigi settlement
hosted Rwandese refugees who were chased from Uganda by the
Obote regime.
1989-1994, Mr. Mpamo joined the Community Development Trust
Fund of Tanzania (CDTF) as their Deputy Chief Accountant.
This is an NGO dealing with the rural populations of Tanzania,
with an objective to increase their standard of living.
1995 Andrew M. Mpamo returned home from exile, where he had
been staying for 35 years. In Rwanda he joined the Ministry
of Defense as an Accountant, where he stayed for about 8 years
up to 2003.
2003-Todate, Andrew M. Mpamo joined the Kigali Institute
of Science and Technology as Principal Accountant income generating
activities, mostly dealing with the part-time students’
tuition fees. Mpamo is the person who introduced the system
of students’ card in KIST and managed the Institution
to recover more than 300,000,000frw from the students, especially
part time management students.
While in Kigali Institute of Science and Technology. Mr Mpamo
was selected to join Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration,
and he successfully completed in 2005 with second lower class.
This led to the award of exemption of ACCA part 1 and two
subjects in ACCA part2 by the ACCA Office in UK.
In 2006 Andrew Mpamo was appointed Director of Students’
Services in Kigali Institute of Science and Technology, Where
he is dealing with students’ affairs on daily basis.
Again it is in this Directorate, where he managed to introduce
100% mutuelle de sante to all government sponsored students,
and it is well operating.
Currently Andrew M. Mpamo is pursuing Masters Degree in Business
Administration (MBA) “specializing in Project Management”
offered by Maastricht School of Management-Outreach Programs.
And now, Mr. Mpamo is doing dissertation on the Impact of
Microfinance in improving the standard of living of its clients
in Rwanda.
Mr. Andrew M.Mpamo, is a gacaca judge elected in 2006, he
is one of the group assigned to jugde the category one of
the Genocide suspects in the Kanombe sector of Kicukiro District.
