G.Senthil Kumaran, kumarangs@yahoo.com, hceet@kist.ac.rw, kumarangs@kist.ac.rw is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Civil Engg. & Environmental Technology in Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).

He has received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from India and has done Master Degree in Structural Engineering from India. He also completed Diploma in Architecture in India and Diploma in Business from Curtin University, Australia. He is also a member of American Society of Civil Engineers. He is currently pursuing his PhD from SRM University India.

His field of interest for research is Use of Waste and Non Biodegradable Materials in Concrete to enhance its strength. He has published over 20 research papers in international conferences and peer reviewed journals. As a service to the community he works to develop environmental friendly building materials and Technology, which can be easily affordable and accessible by the rural population.
