| In August 2002, Dr. Antoine Nsabimana decided
to pursue his PhD study in the area of Plant Molecular Biology
at the University of Natal currently University of KwaZulu-Natal
in South Africa. He obtained a PhD degree in Plant Molecular
Biology in 2006, prior to PhD study; Dr Antoine Nsabimana
obtained an MSc degree in Bioorganic Chemistry from the Lomonosov
Moscow State University in 1992 and a BSc in Biology in 1991,
from the same University in Russia Federation.
Dr. Antoine Nsabimana joined Kigali Institute of Science
and Technology in January 2007 as Senior lecturer in Applied
Biology Department in Faculty of Science. He was the Academic
Officer from October 2007 and is now the Dean of Faculty of
Science from 2010.
Professionally, Dr Antoine Nsabimana is member of National
Task Force on Banana Xanthomonas Wilt. He is a registered
member of Rwanda, Science and Research Council.
His research interest is in the area Plant biotechnology;
Plant breeding; Crop management; Germplasm conservation.
