HIGIRO C. JOHNSON did Primary and Secondary education from Uganda. He attended
University studies in KIST, in Management specializing in
Accounting and graduated in 2002.
Immediately, after graduation, was recruited by KIST as an
Administrative Assistant in the Faculty of Management where
he was responsible for the administrative tasks of the faculty
and compilation of students’ results in the faculty.

| From March 2003, he was transferred in the
Examinations department under the Directorate of Academic
services as an examination officer, where was responsible
with all examination tasks and responsibilities, secretary
to the Institute’s Examiners board and Senate up to
end of 2006.
From January 2007 up August 2008 was working in Internal Audit
department as an internal auditor where from August 2007 to
January 2008 was acting as Chief Internal Auditor. Here he
was involved in all audit activities carried out many audits
in the institute.
September 2008 was transferred in Finance Department as an
accountant to reinforce the Department to prepare the External
audit that was waited for. End of October same year was transferred
to Northern Province Satellite Centre as a Manager up to Mid
December, where again was transferred from to the current
post of Director of Finance.
However, along with Administrative post and responsibilities
held as above, he was also involved in the teaching, where
he taught a number of courses to students of KIST (Kigali
Institute of Science and Technology), RMIT (Royal Melbourne
Institute of Technology, Australia) and CURTIN University
in Australia.
Courses taught in KIST since 2007 up to date include, Entrepreneurship
Development and Skills and Engineering Economics and Finance
to students who are in their final years of studies. Taught
in RMIT 2006 to 2007, Business Planning, Taught in CURTIN
from 2004 to 2007 various courses which include Principles
of Accounting, Financial statements and Reporting, Advanced
Accounting, Problem Analysis, Small Business and Business
Planning and Financial Statistics
