Department of Training Workshops

The department of Training Workshops was established in 1998 with the main objective of offering technical skills training to first and second year students at KIST. The department comprises six workshops namely Electronics, Electrical, Carpentry,Masonry, Welding and Appropriate Technology. Apart from offering courses to regular students at KIST, the department of training workshops conducts part-time and evening courses to technicians of different disciplines .In addition, the department carries out consultancy services to the community such ETOs NGOs and the public in general.
