Mr Keter Julius holds Bed. Technology and M.Phil Technology with a specialization in Construction Technology from Moi University Kenya. His masters’ research area was Low cost Housing Using Appropriate Technologies. Keter has a vast experience spanning a period of over five years in both construction industry as well has teaching at the University level. He worked as a Lecturer and Acting dean of the Faculty of Technology at Umutara Polytechnic Nyagatare between 2008-2011. Besides lecturing, keter has worked as a University Engineering where he spearheaded various construction projects at Umutara Polytechnic Rwanda and in Kenya. Hi joined Kist in May 2011 and was appointed the acting HOD for the department of Construction management. While at kist he lectures a range of courses such as Construction Technology, Construction Management, Building materials and Strength of materials. His research interest is in low cost housing using appropriate technologies and management of new technologies in the construction industry.
