Mr. SANO Anselme holds a Masters degree in Communications Management (MCM) from the KIST/UKTA effective March 2012. He got a BSc. Degree in 1992 in Organic Chemistry awarded by the National University of Rwanda. He started his career as a Research Assistant at ISAR in July 1992 and was appointed in 1993 as Head of laboratory of Research in Plant and Soil Chemistry.

SANO Anselme is a holder of several international certificates in a wide range of areas: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD, 2009) Records Management (2008), E-learning (2008), Wetlands for Water Quality (2007), Strategic Financial Management of Universities (2005), International Project Procurement and Contract Negotiation (2005), Project Planning and Project Management (1997), Procurement and Project Management (1997), Budget and Budgeting Control (1996), Post-harvest Technology (1994), Production and use of organic matter (1992).

SANO Anselme occupied various positions: Director of Planning and Development at KIST (Current position since January 2009), Director of Continuous Training at KIST (since 2006), Director of Administration at KIST (since 2004), Head of Human Resource Management at KIST (since 2003), Personal Assistant to the Rector at KIST (since 2002), TROCAIRE representative in Gikongoro (since 1997), TROCAIRE Officer in Gikongoro (since 1994), and Research Assistant at ISAR (since 1992).
