| Dr. Ngarambe Donart, obtained HND in Electronics Engineering
in 1988, from Kyambogo University, in the Republic of Uganda,
and from there he served in different fields electronics and
telecommunications under various capacities.
He obtained a MSc in Computer Applications and a PhD in
Computer Engineering from Zhejiang University, from the
Peoples’ Republic of China, in 1999 and 2003, respectively.

| Thereafter, in November 2003, he served as a
lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering and Information
Technology, and as a Legal Main Contact for the Cisco Networking
Academy at KIST.
In November 2004, he was appointed to the position of
the Head of Department of Computer Engineering and Information
Technology, and in 2006 he was elected to represent academic
staff to the KIST Board of Directors.
In 2007, he briefly joined the Kigali Independent University
(ULK) to start a new faculty of Science and Technology,
of which he served as the first Dean in 2008.
He rejoined KIST in 2009 as a senior lecturer and acting
Dean in the Faculty of Engineering; and external examiner
in the Faculty of Management of the University of UNILAK.
He is currently the Director of KIST E-health Center of
Excellence.
