In April 2008, The Dept
of CEET at KIST has made a cooperation agreement with
ESRI, Germany, the GIS Software Research Institute to
set up a GIS lab. According to the agreement, KIST will
provide the necessary infrastructure and ESRI will provide
software license for two years with materials and training.
The worth of the contribution will be USD42, 000.
According the agreement, on 5th Oct to 9th Oct 2009,
the Dept of CEET at KIST and ESRI jointly organized a
week long training on GIS and Its application to the different
faculty members of KIST. Finally, there was an awarding
ceremony of certificates to the trainees.
