By and large, Dr. Habte is also interested
in an integral closure of of a non-noetherian domain,
Mori domain, Pruefer domain, Valuation domain and Pseudo-valuation
domain. He had some publications in one of the infertile
or highly complicated field of mathematics, viz., non-noetherian
domain.
In addition to the teaching and research and administrative
responsibilities throughout his academic tenure at different
internationally accredited universities, he has involved
himself in writing teaching materials and books used,
at then University of Asmara, Eritrea, for the Distance
learning education program and he has contributed a
lot in designing, reviewing and revising of curricula
at an Undergraduate and Post-graduate level.
Dr. Habte Gebru has secured a number of awards and
visited, for a post-doctoral fellowship, on different
occasions, some countries like Austria , Finland, Germany
, Italy, Japan, Sweden, and Uganda.
Since 2006, Dr. Habte Gebru is an active participant
in the regional network in east Africa, EAUMP , and
is involved in the North-South cooperation scheme of
CIMO , which is funded by Finland.
He has joined KIST on July 2007 as an Associate Professor
of Mathematics and is heading the Department to make
the center of excellence of Mathematics in east Africa,
God willing.
