KIST RECTOR’S AWARDS EVENT 2009

This is an annual activity that attracts participation of students at KIST.

It is organized by KIST CULTURE PROMOTING GROUP in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Culture. The main objective is to promote Rwandan culture in youth through various programmes.


The third edition of KIST Rector’s Awards was held on Friday31st, July,2009.

During this event the competition for the MISS KIST NYAMPINGA was orgnized.
All the contestants competed in a preliminary round of judging; ”Presentation Show” where the field was narrowed to a select number of semi-finalists and eventually Miss KIST was selected.

The following received the 2009 KIST Rector’s Awards.

  • MISS KIST Nyampinga (NSHUTI Clarisse, Born in 1989, Height:1,87m, weight: 57kg 1st year CEIT full time)
  • 1st Runner up Nyampinga (BENINGABIRE Nicole, Born in 1989, Height:1,80m, weight: 55kg 1st year CEIT Full time)
  • 2nd Runner up Nyampinga ( MUTUYIMANA Liliane Born in1988, Height:1,70m, weigh: 53kg 2nd YEAR EEE full time)
  • The best innovative Student ( NTAKIRUTIMANA Thomas 2nd EEE year full time)
  • The best sportman (SAKINDI Gaetan, 4 Year Applied Physics)
  • The best innovative Student in Culture(HABANABAKIZE J. Bosco, 4th Year Food Science)

We congratulate those who received the awards and encourage all KIST students to participate actively in future events.
