The Hon. Minister of Education visited KIST

On Friday September 18th 2009, the Hon. Minister of Education Dr. Charles MURIGANDE visited KIST and had a guided tour of the new state of the art magnificent KIST IV Laboratory complex.

The Hon. Minister was accompanied by the Rector Prof. Abraham Atta Ogwu, Prof. John Mshana,(Vice-Rector ,Academics) Mr. Gatabazi Thomas (Vice-Rector, Administration and Finance) , the Ag.Dean (Faculty of Engineering) ,Directors and KIST staff.

The Laboratory Facility was built and equipped through Financial support from the African Development Bank(AfDB), development Fund (ADF).

The Hon. Minister also took time to visit the KIST Guest house that was built in partnership with the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany .

The Guest house serves as a residence to visiting international scholars and guests, especially visiting Professors who come for shorter durations to teach at KIST.

The Hon. Minister expressed his appreciation to the KIST Senior Management team who represented the entire KIST Staff community.
